The Importance of Gratitude

Gratitude is more than just saying thank you. It is a deep-seated acknowledgement and appreciation for the positive aspects of life, and for the kindness others show. This emotion, when genuinely felt and expressed can change moods, outlooks and even lives. With Thanksgiving right around the corner, now is a perfect time to create opportunities for gratitude in your daily life.

Practice Gratitude Daily
Keep a gratitude journal – write 3 things you’re grateful for each night.
Express yourself- make it a habit to let people know you appreciate them.
Be mindful- Be on the lookout for things you appreciate all day every day.
Perform random acts of kindness- sometimes a smile at someone is all it takes.
